PARC SIGNS: HOME / CASE STUDIES /
The challenge was to provide an interactive exhibition unit made from recycled or sustainable materials, and be completely self assembled!
A great deal of head scratching was done over the project. Cornwall AONB is an organisation created to promote, protect and educate about 13 recogonised areas of outstanding natural beauty throughout Cornwall.
The stand had to inform visitors on the areas and their unique features and landforms that make them so precious.
Parc Signs design team coupled with our fantastic and skilled manufacturing department schemed a display unit made prodominately from chestnut grown at Heligan Gardens, thus assuring complete sustainability. Graphics panels were made soley from 90% recycled foamex material.
We devloped a simple slot together system intergrated into the the main posts and supports and the whole thing was finished with a complicated interactive map of Cornwall. The map allows users to press a button, which in turn highlights the subsequent area on the map and triggers a powerpoint presentation on screen, both audio and visual.
The unit proved to be one of our most challenging projects to date, but one we are very proud of. The stand will be on display throughout Cornwall in 2009 at shows such as The Royal Cornwall Show.
