PARC SIGNS: HOME / CASE STUDIES /
We have collaborated with the WWT in many exciting projects in the past at there various centres across the UK including Slimbridge, London, Arundel, Caerlaverock and Martin Mere. In the spring of 2006 we were approached about the signing of their newly built Wetland Centre.
Following on from previously created schemes at their other centres we created stunning Shot Blast timber signs mounted into timber supports with digitally printed and interchangeable panel overlays.
Our main challenge was the construction of two main entrance signs for the site. The shot blast timber panels with curved headers and printed inlays were impressively lit via sunken LED spot lighting powered by Solar energy.
The large solar panels are mounted on a custom sprayed support and stands alongside each of the entrance signs, the solar charges batteries throughout the day which in turn power the illumination at night. “We really wanted to make a statement with the Solar aspect on our signage and we are so pleased with the outcome.”
Other works included shot blasted wayfinding and exterior printed information panels.
