Autumn Showcase 2025: Opening Our Doors for National Manufacturing Day

We’ve never really done an open event like this before. Day to day day, we’re so busy getting on with projects that it’s easy not to pause and share what’s happening here up on the hill. But National Manufacturing Day, celebrated September 25th across the UK, felt like the perfect reason to throw open our doors and give people a proper look behind the scenes.

Throughout the day, we welcomed visitors from across Cornwall; from hospitality, design, education and the NHS, all keen to see what goes on inside our workshop. A real highlight for us was guiding the T-level Engineering and Manufacturing students from The Cornwall College Group, right at the start of their course. They were full of great questions, curiosity and energy, and it was brilliant to give them a glimpse of just how varied, technical and creative manufacturing can be.

A rare chance to walk and talk

Our visitors were genuinely surprised by the scale of our space and the range of processes we handle in-house. From CNC routing, engraving, large-format printing and spray finishing, to traditional signwriting and interpretation displays. There’s a lot that happens under one roof here. Many told us they hadn’t realised the full extent of our technical capability or how hands-on our process really is.

The day gave us the chance to slow down a little and connect properly with our clients and community, to talk through materials, pick up samples, and chat about how ideas become reality. Often we meet clients out on site or during tight project timelines, so being able to simply walk and talk through the workshop together was a real pleasure.

Connecting beyond the workshop

We also handed out complimentary tickets to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, where visitors can see SURF!, the exhibition we recently designed, built and installed. It felt like a fitting link between the creative and technical sides of what we do.

Of course, no Parc event would be complete without cake, and there was plenty of that too. A huge thank you to everyone who came along, and especially to our team for all the effort leading up to (and during) the day. It was a real team effort and such a rewarding way to celebrate everything manufacturing.
