Workshop investment

Eighteen years ago we bought out first full sized CNC router, in that time the business has grown and evolved with the machine being an integral part of our day to day production processes. As technologies have changed, so too have our requirements for what we need the machine to do.

As part of our investment programme we have now upgraded our CNC router to a Tekcel EXR with 300mm gantry complete with knife and camera technology, one of only 2 sign companies in the South West to have such a piece of equipment.  The new machine will take much deeper substrates, important for engraving into timber posts, it will also cut a much wider range of materials.  The added facility of the camera and knife enables profile cutting of direct printed sheets of material to shapes, which works hand in hand with our Mimaki direct printer and saves production time.

For this investment we received a Grant from the BIG2 Project funded from the ERDF as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 which partly funded this new CNC router which we commissioned in May 2018.
