After much research we are pleased to announce that we have now taken delivery of a Mimaki JFX200 direct to substrate printer. This piece of kit means that we can print to a wide variety of materials for increased creativity. Our machine has been set up with the usual CMYK format but also includes white ink, primer and a varnish which gives us maximum versatility to print on pretty much any substrate.
Printing direct brings several benefits for our clients: speed, versatility, the size at which panels can be printed to and of course cost. As this machine cuts out the time and material involved in applying prints back to panels we are able to offer our clients a significant cost saving. We will be looking to use our machine to not only produce signage such as site boards and estate agent’s signs but also use it more creatively for printing onto glass and plywood to create some really different effects.
Not every job we will produce will run through the machine as there is no getting away from the versatility that vinyl text brings when it comes to updating information, or edge wrapping panels for a neat seamless join in an exhibition environment. We will be applying our knowledge and making the best recommendations to our client for the best results for their requirements. Having a direct printer now means we now have even more options available.
